Lake Creek Preserve Monthly Guided Hike
Looking for a way to explore nature, see ecosystems in action, and have fun? Join Bayou Land Conservancy at Lake Creek Preserve for a family-friendly nature hike!
This is a monthly guided hike through Lake Creek Preserve, where we will explore various ecosystems and terrain. This is a moderately easy ~1 mile loop, which traverses through sand, mud (when wet) and over a few boardwalks.

No dogs allowed. Close-toed shoes and ample drinking water required.

Join Bayou Land Conservancy for the annual Community Science City Nature Challenge!
Anyone can be a scientist - all you need is a curious mind, inquisitive eye, and a smartphone with the iNaturalist app to make your observations.

Root to Rise: Yoga In Nature
Join a free, donation-based beginner Vinyasa class guided by Paola in partnership with the Bayou Land Conservancy. Connect deeply with nature as you breathe, move, and flow beneath the open sky in the beautiful setting of Arrowwood Preserve. This class is a perfect opportunity to ground yourself and build a foundation in yoga while feeling the earth beneath your feet.

Immerse yourself in the healing vibrations of crystal bowls in this free, donation-based sound bath, offered in partnership with the Bayou Land Conservancy. Held in the serene setting of Arrowwood Preserve, this experience invites you to relax, recharge, and harmonize with the soothing sounds of the forest. A deeply restorative journey for mind, body, and soul.

Arrowwood Wetland Planting
Join BLC in restoring the native habitat of our Arrowwood Preserve. We need your help planting various native species in our bottomland forests! If the planting ends early, we will take a walk through the preserve so you can enjoy the beauty of Arrowwood.
Please bring your own gloves, if you have them, along with shoes that can get muddy/wet. If you have muck boots, bring those too. ​
